The concert will be taking place on Monday 6th July starting at 7.30pm and all are welcome to come along. There will be a door charge of €5. Hope to see you there!

During the afternoon all the choirs will be meeting together to sing, and we are looking forwards to performing some new songs together.

Thank You Body and Soul 2015!!

Abdul and his team had a fantastic time this year at the Body and Soul Festival. I think has perhaps become Abdul’s favourite festival. We had great fun teaching the children Abdul’s new song, which we then paraded around the Soul Kids Area. A big ‘Thank You’ to Sandra and the Soul Kids team for creating such a beautiful and welcoming environment for families and artists alike! Here’s hoping we are invited back again next year!

Concert in St. Fin Barres Cathedral, Cork with visiting American Choir July 2014

Last year I was invited by a UK Tour company to facilitate a concert with a visiting choir from the USA as part of a national tour of Ireland. This involved a workshop and an evening concert in St. Fin Barres Cathedral, Cork. The purpose of the workshop was to bring the visitors together with the Cork based community choirs for a sharing and learning musical experience. This event was such a success that I have now been invited once again to welcome another American choir this coming July. The new Ballincollig Choir, Ceol Na Laoi will sing alongside Kinsale Voices and Acapellabella as we welcome Janey Hall and the SoCo Women’s Chorus to Cork. We are delighted to hold the evening concert once again in the beautiful St. Fin Barres Cathedral on Monday 6th July at 7.30pm where all are welcome.

New Community Choir for Ballincollig, Cork

Caz Jeffreys

This spring I  have started up a lovely new Community Choir together with the Ballincollig Family Resource Centre, Cork. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm and are singing a mixture of songs- mostly un accompanied and some with percussion or guitar….. and having alot of fun!!I find this work so enjoyable, and one of the big reasons for me is that it’s so nice to sing and meet with people from such a variety of backgrounds – everyone brings in something very original, and being together brings a great sense of unity within our colourful world. In fact, I think every community should have their own inclusive choir….and I’m happy to be involved in spreading this!!
