The coming BIG SING! event is bringing a BRASS SECTION along to join in with some of the songs!!! Fellow singing leader Jane Goss has been meeting with a small group of brass players from the community to work on adding some exciting tones to our song collection for on the day! Can’t wait to hear what they have been preparing!

‘Little Singing Sessions’ return to Skibbereen – October 2016
The ‘Little Singing Sessions’ will be starting up again from Skibbereen Town Hall as part of the HSE ‘Friday Club’ programme on Friday 21st October.
We will then meet on the second Friday of each month from 11am-12 midday. All are very welcome to come along to these sessions which are informal and fun. Come along and meet others over a cup of tea. These sessions are FREE!
Music and Mosaic Workshops in Killarney -12th and 13th November 2016
A fantastic opportunity for art and music lovers – now is your chance to create some new work, with help from three dedicated original artists – Nathalie El Baba (visual art), Caz Jeffreys (voice) and Ruti Lachs (music).
A weekend workshop is planned for Killarney on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November 2016. The cost of the workshop is only €40, as this project is kindly supported by the Kerry County Council Arts Office.
The workshop, for adults aged 18 and over, takes place on the premises of the Killarney School of Music, where three rooms will be available for a weekend of creativity.
This is a mixed art form project. Participants will be creating mosaic art in response to music, and making music (vocal and/or instrumental) in response to art. There will be a lot of group work, and every individual will have a chance to shine.
No previous experience is needed. The weekend will be fun, informal, and unique.
Community Singing Workshop in Glengarriff – Sunday 25th September
The succession of workshops leading up to the next BIG SING! event have begun! The next one will be held in the Community Hall in Glengarriff from 3-5pm and will be led by Jane Goss. All members of the community are very welcome.
Pop-Up Jazz Choir for Kinsale Jazz Festival October 2016
A great opportunity to join in with a short term project working with contemporary Jazz songs to perform at St. Cathrines Cultural Centre as part of the Kinsal Jazz Festvial. This project is aimed at the more confident singer who will enjoy an intensive and short build up to this event. Early bird prices available now.
