This is Laurens’ first visit to Ireland and I am delighted to be welcoming her to West Cork.

This Workshop will run from 10.30am until 4.30pm and will take place in Cox’s Hall (on the relief road).

Lauren is both a performer, workshop leader and songwriter based in Norfolk in the UK. Performing in her first Funk band at the age of sixteen, she has twenty years of experience studying, performing and forever passionate about all things Gospel, Blue, Soul and Funk. Lauren studied Gospel, Soul and Jazz at Goldsmith’s University, London and has since been performing across the UK with the Dove and Boweevil Band. An inspirational three month sabbatical to the USA in 2009 to New Orleans, Austin, Nashville, Memphis, and Chicago, further fuelled her interest in Gospel and Soul.

Lauren has lead Singing Workshops in Gospel and Soul for the past twelve years and teaches with infectious enthusiasm. Expect glorious harmonies, toe-tapping rhythm and a wealth of vocal tips and techniques. This workshop aims to get your body moving and voice soaring.

We will take a short break for refreshments, with lunch break from 1.30-2.30pm. There are plenty of cafes and bars to choose from within walking distance, and you are also welcome to bring a packed lunch.
