Musical Guest – Lewis Barfoot

Lewis Barfoot

Lewis is a full time contemporary folk artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist, dancer
and self producing recording artist based in Cork. She has been performing under the
folk umbrella for just over a decade, with two full-length studio albums to her name:
Glenaphuca (2021) & HOME (2023), both of which received strong support from BBC
Radio, RTÉ Radio 1, Folk Radio UK and RTÉ na Gaeltachta.
In 2024 she expanded her sound into jazz and established the Lewis Barfoot Jazz
Quartet making their debut at the 2024 Cork Jazz Festival, with a return appearance in
2025—this time joined by French trumpeter Julien Silvand.
In addition to her musical projects, Lewis has been facilitating group workshops in body,
voice and expression since 2012. She has worked with a number of organisations in Ireland, the UK, and New York, and also runs her own workshop series The Embodied Archetypes. She
currently teaches Embodied Blues Dance in Cork City. Prior to her music career, Lewis
worked extensively in the UK and internationally as an actress, dancer and director.
