Want to be in a band for a day, learn new tunes and songs, meet other musical adults? Dust off old instruments, or grab your shiny new ones.

This full day’s programme brings together Caz Jeffreys (musical director of Ballydehob Community Band) and Ruti Lachs (musical director of Across The Board Community Band), combining two different styles and approaches of community bands and leadership. Here is an opportunity for adults who would like to experience what it’s like to be in a group of musicians, who are exploring and learning new tunes and songs together. These will be taught by ear, at whatever level you are on your instrument, and will include folk and popular styles. Some musical ability required e.g. if you can play a bunch of chords or scales or know how to play a few tunes already! Whether you are already playing in a band, or interested in joining one, come along and discover more of what it’s all about. Bring your instruments, and be ready for some fun, laughs, improvisation, and great harmonies and tunes.
