What a fantastic day we had working with Craig Lees at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Roscarbery Saturday 13th July last. Such a beautiful location to come together, with some even going off to the beach swimming in the lunch break! Here is a video of one of the songs which Craig arranged shortly before coming over to us.
How lovely to be invited to bring a singing workshop into The Stables – event room and gardens – whilst back over in the UK visiting my mum in Norfolk later this summer!
In November 2018 Caz Jeffreys and Jane Goss (West Cork based Community Choir leader) collaborated to bring Craig Lees over from the UK for a Choir Day event in The Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery, West Cork. The day was a big success with all tickets sold out and has now become an annual event.

COMMUNITY CHOIR DAY 2019
Community Choir Day 2019 will be held on Saturday 2nd November at the beautiful location of Inchydoney Island Hotel near Clonakilty in West Cork. We are delighted to be welcoming Ciaran Kelly and Vicky Warwick from Irelands’ leading acapella group, Ardu to facilitate at the event. The morning will consist of an enjoyable learning experience whilst the afternoon is a chance for choirs to share some of their songs.
Ardu’s professional singers will be leading the songs, introducing fun warmups, followed by vocal technique and expression- all delivered through the structure of some fabulous arrangements with a dynamic approach. Whilst Ciaran will lead from the keyboard , they will incorporate some elements of their specialist skill- the art of Acapella – and engage us all with captivating vocal textures and harmonies.

A limited amount of tickets are available which include lunch (soup, salad and sandwiches), or if you prefer to take a trip into Clonakilty (only 10 minutes drive) there are a selection of eating houses to choose from. “Enjoy a whistle stop tour through the world of Rock and Pop Choral singing, designed to fill you with fresh ideas to take back to your choir. Learn new songs and explore new techniques in style and blend. The morning session will cover warming up and performance technique, while the afternoon is all about performance and stagecraft, including the opportunity for some brave soloists to take to the stage!”
We will be using the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery for this event with it’s beautiful views over the water and it’s bird life. With the beach only a short distance away you can choose to bring your own picnic, take a stroll up to the villages cafes, or simply relax and enjoy your lunch break at the hotel.
