Ballydehob Jazz Festival and Jazzabella May 2018

What a great day! Started of singing with Acapellabella at the Sunday morning service in St. Matthias Church, then down at the market Hall where we were joined by GraceNotes and performed our Jazzabella set. Thanks to all who came and supported us. But my favourite part of the day was singing outdoors on the platform next to the Old Bank House whilst people were gathering for the parade – which was fantastic!! Well done to all who worked so hard to put the festival on……Ballydehob does it again!

Mens’ Singing Group March 2018

The Roaring Water Boys are back!!! This season of sessions will run on Wednesdays from 8-10pm and begin on the 11th April. ALL men are welcome regardless of previous singing experience. It is a place to enjoy singing alongside others, learning to sing harmonies and exploring your own voice. The emphasis is on having fun in an informal environment.

Xmas Singing 2017

Xmas singing came earlier for me this year…..and finished earlier than usual too. Ceol na Laoi had many appointments singing at The WestGate Foundation and the Nursing Unit at the Ballincollig Community Hospital. We also took songs out to the Glow Festival in Cork collecting for the Simon Community, Griffins Garden Centre collecting for local young cancer victim Ava and to Tescos for their childrens charity.

I especially enjoyed singing with the Cope Foundation and Co Action groups from Clonakilty again this year, when once again we took to the streets of Clonakilty in the Land Train to visit and sing for two nursing homes.

Have a great festive season everyone and stay warm!!
